High Temperature E-Glass Fibre Twisted Ropes 700 °C
E-Glass Twisted Ropes, up to 700 °C
E-glass fibre is a high-quality fibre that stands out from other materials for its ability to withstand high temperatures and its great electrical insulation properties. With its rot-proof constitution, this fibre can resist the main chemical agents and remains dimensionally stable, even against strong variations in humidity and temperatures.
E-glass filaments with a diameter greater than 9 µm can have adverse effects on health, including skin irritations, whereas filaments smaller than 3 µm are respire and can lead to build-up in the respiratory system. To prevent these risks, the E-glass fibre twisted ropes offered by Final Advanced Materials are manufactured using filaments with a diameter ranging from 6 to 9 µm.
As they can withstand operating temperatures up to 550 °C and peak temperatures up to 700 °C, E-glass twisted ropes are used in the industry as high-temperature gaskets in industrial furnaces and chimneys.
Final Advanced Materials offers E-glass twisted ropes with a diameter ranging from 3 to 60 mm. For more information regarding the availability, refer to the technical data sheet.
