Weaving, a craft combining tradition and modernity

Weaving is an age-old textile technique consisting of interlacing two sets of threads, warp and weft, on a loom to create fabric. Final Advanced Materials has transformed this traditional know-how into modern and technical applications.

Based in Alsace (France), our textile workshop integrates the entire production process, from warping to shipping, including the development of the weave adapted to your needs.

We are committed to preserving local textile expertise by ensuring that all manufacturing steps are carried out in France. Thanks to our team’s expertise and craftsmanship, we guarantee peace of mind for your projects.

In addition to weaving, our workshop also carries out textile assembly and cutting operations.

Let’s discuss your weaving projects

All types of fibres processed

We master the weaving of all fibres – natural, synthetic, or technical – for applications under extreme conditions up to 2,500 °C:

  • Technical fibres: aramid, glass, ceramic, basalt, silica, silicate, biosoluble, etc.
  • Natural or synthetic fibres
  • From very fine to coarse yarn counts

Final can supply the raw material or work with your own spools, depending on your preferences.

2D and 3D weaving

Our textile workshop is equipped with both a frame loom and a Jacquard loom for 2D weaving, as well as facilities for creating 3D structures several centimetres thick.

Prototyping and sampling with minimal raw material

Our strength lies in the ability to weave from very small quantities of yarn, while industrial facilities often require large volumes.

Thanks to our creel system, we can produce samples or small series from minimal yarn quantities. This is a real advantage for high value-added fibres, often rare or expensive, where every metre counts.

We therefore meet the needs of R&D and development phases when:

  • Your equipment requires large yarn volumes
  • Production lines are difficult to interrupt or cannot be mobilised
  • You lack dedicated resources or time in-house

Short warp preparation

Our workshop can prepare short warps (up to 3 m) for small lengths.

Weaving simulation with technical analysis

Would you like to analyse wear and prevent yarn breakage? Final Advanced Materials offers simulated weaving tests with its cycling bench!

We can thus:

  • Reproduce the yarn’s real behaviour during weaving (friction, tension, etc.)
  • Anticipate wear or breakage
  • Adjust parameters to best preserve fragile or expensive materials

Design and development of textile weaves

Comprehensive support through to prototyping

Thanks to our expertise, we can support you in designing tailor-made textile weaves:

  • Requirement definition and specification analysis
  • Fibre selection
  • Parameter adjustment
  • Sample production

Industrial transfer and training: we come to you

Once the prototype is validated, we ensure the industrial transfer of your weaving. Our experts visit your production site to set up the correct loom parameters and train your teams in weaving implementation.

The goal is simple: to enable you to reproduce the weaving independently on your own equipment.
