E-Glass Fibre Twisted Ropes 700 °C
E-Glass Fibre Twisted Ropes, up to 700 °C
E-glass fibre offers good resistance to high temperatures and great electrical insulation properties. This high-quality fibre is rot-proof and can resist the main chemical agents. Moreover, it remains dimensionally stable, even with strong variations in temperatures and humidity.
When they have a diameter greater than 9 μm, E-glass filaments are harmful for health as they can lead to skin irritation. Filaments with a diameter smaller than 3 μm are however respirable and can build up in the respiratory system. In order to prevent these risks, Final Advanced Materials proposes E-glass fibre twisted ropes with a diameter between 6 and 9 μm.
E-glass twisted ropes can withstand operating temperatures up to 550 °C and peak temperatures up to 700 °C. They are therefore used in the industry as high-temperature gaskets for industrial furnaces and chimneys.
E-glass twisted ropes with a diameter ranging from 3 to 60 mm are available. For more information regarding the availability, refer to the technical data sheet.
