High Temperature E-Glass Fibre Felts 700 °C
E-Glass Fibre Felts, up to 700 °C
E-glass fibre is valued for its resistance to high temperatures and its excellent electrical insulation properties. This rot-proof material can resist the main chemical agents and remains dimensionally stable against strong variations in humidity and temperature. While glass filaments with a diameter of less than 3 µm are respirable and can build up in the respiratory system, filaments bigger than 9µm can irritate the skin. To prevent these risks, only glass fibre products made of filaments between 6 and 9 µm are proposed.
E-glass fibre needle felts offer excellent mechanical, chemical and dielectric properties. Moreover, these products can withstand operating temperatures up to 550 °C and peak temperatures up to 700 °C.
The E-glass fibre needle felts provided by Final Advanced Materials are untreated or available with an adhesive, steel or an aluminium finish. These different treatments improve the felts' properties, such as their resistance to cutting, wear, radiant heat or to splashes of molten metal.
These E-glass fibre products complement Newtex’s product range.
