Mullite ceramic
Overview of Mullite
Mullite belongs to the alumina silicate group. It is a material that is rarely found in nature and offers good stability at high temperatures. Mullite can be extruded into tube form and can also be pressed to manufacture technical components.
Machining of Mullite Parts
Mullite is available in various forms depending on the application and the production volumes:
- Wet pressing of parts for large-scale production
- Sintering and diamond machining according to design specifications
- A range of non-fibrous insulating products made from alumina microspheres: Sizal Cell®
Mullite Refractory Composite
Our Sizal® mullite composite range is a complete line of thermal insulators that open the way to many industrial or laboratory applications up to temperatures of 1800°C. It is used for insulation panels for industrial or laboratory installations.
