High Temperature E-Glass Fibre Braided Ropes 700 °C
E-Glass Braided Ropes, up to 700 °C
E-glass fibre is characterised by its great electrical insulation properties and its resistance to high temperatures. This rot-proof fibre remains dimensionally stable, even under intense variations of humidity and temperature and can resist the main chemical agents.
When their diameter exceeds 9 μm, E-glass filaments can lead to skin irritations. As they are respirable, filaments under 3 μm can build up in the respiratory system. In order to prevent these sanitary risks, the E-glass braided ropes provided by Final Advanced Materials are manufactured with filaments with a diameter between 6 to 9 μm. These braided ropes can be used for applications involving operating temperatures up to 550 °C and peak temperatures up to 700 °C.
At Final Advanced Materials, our braided ropes are available in standard diameters ranging from 4 to 60 mm in a round or square section. Various treated versions are available: silicone, rubber or PTFE coating, graphite impregnated, coupled with aramid or a stainless-steel sleeve. These different treatments enhance the mechanical properties of the braided ropes, reduce pollution from airborne fibres and optimises sealing. For more information regarding the availability, refer to the technical data sheet.
