High Temperature Ceramic Fibre Sleeves 1,500 °C
Ceramic Fibre Sleeves, up to 1,500 °C
Final Advanced Materials can supply an innovative continuous polycrystalline ceramic fibre. Manufacturing ceramic textiles is particularly simple thanks to the metallic oxides at the heart of its composition. Its mechanical and thermal properties exceed those of other fibrous materials, including glass, aramid, or silica.
Ceramic fibre sleeves can withstand operating temperatures up to 1,400 °C and peak temperatures up to 1,500 °C with their composition mainly made of alumina (Al2O3). Designed for extreme conditions, they are therefore particularly suitable for the insulation and protection of cables, tubes, pipes and thermocouples. Ceramic sleeves are also resistant to abrasion and are ideal for sewing.
At Final Advanced Materials, the ceramic fibre sleeves are available untreated or with a heat cleaned finish. This treatment limits irritations during handling, the amount of smoke produced at high temperatures and airborne fibres.
For more information regarding the availability, refer to the technical data sheet.
