Ceramic Fibre Sleeves 1,500 °C
Ceramic Fibre Sleeves, heat-resistant up to 1,500 °C
Final Advanced Materials proposes a ceramic fibre with mechanical and thermal properties outperforming those of other fibrous materials, including glass, aramid, or silica. Manufacturing ceramic textiles using this innovative continuous polycrystalline fibre is particularly simple thanks to the metallic oxides at the heart of its composition.
With their composition mainly out of alumina (Al2O3), ceramic fibre sleeves can withstand operating temperatures up to 1,400 °C and peak temperatures up to 1,500 °C. They are also resistant to abrasion and are ideal for sewing. Designed for extreme conditions, they are therefore particularly suitable for the insulation and protection of cables, tubes, pipes and thermocouples.
The ceramic fibre sleeves supplied by Final Advanced Materials are available untreated or with a heat cleaned finish. This treatment limits the amount of smoke produced at high temperatures, irritations during handling and airborne fibres.
For more information regarding the availability, refer to the technical data sheet.
