High Temperature Biosoluble Fibre Papers 1,260 °C

Biosoluble Fibre Papers, up to 1,260 °C

Biosoluble fibre is a non-carcinogenic insulation material. It is an ideal solution to replace asbestos, ceramic fibre and mineral fibre. Its composition enables its dissolution by physiological fluids such as those found in the pulmonary alveoli. It is less biopersistent, meaning it is eliminated more easily by the body while maintaining their excellent fire protection and thermal insulation properties.

Biosoluble fibre papers are flexible, easy to cut and to install. Moreover, they contain organic binders, which improve the product’s flexibility. They can also withstand operating temperatures up to 1,200 °C and classification temperatures up to 1,260 °C. These papers are mainly used in the industry as high-temperature gaskets and packings, but also for the insulation of ingots moulds. Thanks to their high thermal resistivity, they are also used for high-temperature applications, such as heat shields in the motor industry.

The biosoluble fibre papers provided by Final Advanced Materials are available with a thickness ranging from 1 to 5 mm and a width from 610 to 1,260 mm.

For more information regarding the availability, refer to the technical data sheet.

     Applications of Biosoluble Fibre Papers

  • High-temperature gaskets and packings
  • Insulation of ingot moulds
  • Heat shield for the motor industry
  • Molten metal transfer system (second-rate insulation)
  • Insulating envelopes for the protection of nozzles in the steel industry

Biosoluble Fibre Paper

Biosoluble Fibre Paper Biosoluble fibres  papers are an insulation material resistant to a high continuous temperature up to 1,260 °C and are an ideal solution to replace ceramic fibres, rock fibres and asbestos. They have excellent thermal insulation and fire protection qualities. They are made from alkaline earth silicate wool and have an extremely uniform structure.
