Silicate Fibre Twisted Ropes 1,200 °C

Silicate Fibre Twisted Ropes, heat-resistant up to 1,200 °C

Silicate fibre is inorganic and is mainly composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2) and other metallic oxides such as aluminium, calcium, magnesium, etc. It poses no health risk when handling thanks to its diameter of 9 μm and doesn’t contain toxic substances. This fibre also offers strong mechanical and thermal properties. Therefore, silicate fibre can be an excellent alternative to ceramic fibres and asbestos products.

Silicate fibre twisted ropes have excellent thermal resistivity. They can withstand high temperatures better than biosoluble fibre or glass fibre products. These products can withstand operating temperatures up to 1,000 °C and peak temperatures up to 1,200 °C. Moreover, they have great chemical resistance thanks to the silicate fibre of their composition. These silicate fibre twisted ropes are mainly used in the industry for the manufacture of sealing joints and heat protections.

The silicate fibre twisted ropes provided by Final Advanced Materials are available with a section ranging from 3 to 12 mm.
