HT Silicate Fibre Twisted Ropes 1,200 °C
Silicate Fibre Twisted Ropes, up to 1,200 °C
Silicate fibre is an inorganic mineral mainly composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2) and other metallic oxides such as calcium, aluminium, magnesium, etc. It doesn’t contain toxic substances and poses no health risk when handling thanks to its diameter of 9 μm. This fibre also offers strong thermal and mechanical properties. Silicate fibre is therefore an excellent alternative to ceramic fibres and asbestos products.
Silicate fibre twisted ropes have excellent thermal resistivity. As they can withstand peak temperatures up to 1,200 °C and operating temperatures up to 1,000 °C, they can withstand high temperatures better than biosoluble fibre or glass fibre products. Moreover, with the silicate fibre of their composition, these products have great chemical resistance. These silicate fibre twisted ropes are mainly used in the industry for the manufacture of heat protections and sealing joints.
Final Advanced Materials provides silicate fibre twisted ropes with a section ranging from 3 to 12 mm.
