Biosoluble Fibre Braided Ropes 1,150 °C
Biosoluble Fibre Braided Ropes, heat-resistant up to 1,150 °C
Biosoluble fibres are guaranteed ceramic fibre and asbestos-free. In order to eliminate the health risks associated with exposure to rock fibres or ceramic fibres for insulation, their chemical composition has been adapted. These fibres can dissolve in physiological fluids such as those found in the pulmonary alveoli. They are less biopersistent, meaning they are eliminated more quickly by the body while maintaining their excellent fire protection and thermal insulation properties.
Biosoluble fibre braided ropes offer great thermal properties. They can therefore withstand peak temperatures up to 1,150 °C and operating temperatures up to 1,050 °C. These products are used in the industry for the insulation of cables, boilers, industrial furnaces, etc.
The biosoluble fibre braided ropes provided by Final Advanced Materials are available in diameters ranging from 5 to 60 mm in round or square sections. They can be reinforced with glass fibre or heat-resistant steel.
- Glass fibre reinforcement is more cost-effective, and provides the benefit of not being electrically conductive;
- Heat-resistant steel reinforcement increases the strength of the high-temperature braided cord, and improves its physical properties, whilst preserving its initial flexibility.
