Basalt Fibre Sleeves 800 °C
Basalt Fibre Sleeves, heat-resistant up to 800 °C
The basalt fibre used by Final Advanced Materials makes the manufacture of products with extreme resistance possible. This high-temperature material is also ecological when it comes to both manufacturing and recycling it. Basalt fibre offers properties that are far superior to glass fibre.
Basalt fibre products can resist chemicals as well as flame and are very good electrical and acoustic insulators. Moreover, they offer excellent thermal stability, chemical and mechanical resistance. As they remain functional with operating temperatures up to 700 °C and peak temperatures up to 800 °C, they can be used for high-temperature applications.
The basalt fibre sleeves provided by Final Advanced Materials are made from fibres with a diameter ranging from 8 to 16 µm. They are non-melting, fireproof and produce neither toxic gases nor smoke. They are mainly used as thermal protection for exhausts and pipes in the automobile industry and for the insulation of electrical cables.
Final Advanced Materials offers basalt fibre sleeves in sections ranging from 1.5 to 22 mm.
